We work together with our invited grantees to improve literacy outcomes for children in the early elementary school years (grades kindergarten through three) by supporting instructional practices that align with the science of how children best learn to read.

National Council on Teacher Quality

Project

The National Council on Teacher Quality prioritizes improving student reading outcomes through evidence-based, high-quality teacher preparation and support. With this grant, NCTQ will build on their report, “Teacher Prep Review: Early Reading Foundations,” by designing, publishing, and advancing the use of a state policy action guide and providing training and technical assistance for policymakers and advocates.
